Mrs. H. M. Ostendorff

  Mrs. Gertrude Ostendorff of 

9-E  Sergeant  Jasper

Apartments, widow of H. Martin

Ostendorff, died Monday at a local 

nursing home.

  Funeral services will  be held

Wednesday afternoon at Stuhr's 

Downtown Funeral Chapel. The

time will be  announced later.

Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

 Mrs. Ostendorff was born Oct.

22,1880,in Allendale,a daughter 

of  the  late Josiah Seth Mixson

and Caroline Brabham Mixson.

She  was  a  member of  Grace 

Episcopal Church and was a member

of long standing in the Daughters

of the American Revolution and the

United Daughters of the Confederacy.

     Surviving are: one daughter,

Mrs. Lloyd C. Blank of Charleston: 

two sons, Harold M. Ostendorff of  

Charleston and Edward M. Ostendorff 

of Greenville: one sister, Mrs. 

D. Q. Towles of Hollywood: and 12 

grandchildren and 16  great 

grandchildren.
