Obituary for Helen "Anita" Dixon Beck

Helen "Anita" Dixon Beck passed away on August 17, 2020 at her home in Shiloh, Florida,

surrounded by her children. She was born in Perry, Florida, May 12, 1935 to William and

Elizabeth Feaster Dixon. Anita married James Beck on December 31, 1955 and together they

were the proudparents of 6 children; 3 biological children and 3 beloved cousins, who

joined their little family after the death of her Aunt Aggie and Uncle Joe Hannah. Anita’s

greatest love was her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, James; her sons Thad Beck, Bill Beck (infant), and

Jimmy Hannah; her beautiful daughter-in-love, Susan, her brother John Dixon, and her

beloved dog, Levi. She is survived by her daughter Dana Beck Dycus (Doug), her sons Tommy

Hannah (Julia) and Wesley Hannah. Anita had a tremendous love for her 10 grandchildren:

Wendy Beck Ritten (Jimmy), Matt Beck (Dayna), Justin Beck (Sarah), Tyler Holley (Jess),

Elizabeth Holley Ray (Cody), Greyson Dycus, Grant Dycus, Emma Dycus, Tonya Hannah Huddleston

(Tug), Mark Hannah (Taryn) and her precious 15 great-grandchildren: Trey, Chase and Morgan

Ritten, Ben and Will Beck, Emma, Abby and Matthew Beck, Bailey Ray, Aubrey, Wiley and Hannah

Huddleston, Calvin, Jorge and Altom Hannah.

She leaves behind one sister Betty Yawn; her sisters-in-law Eloise Beck Marshall (Kip),

Barbara Beck Smith (David) and Nadine Dixon; her brothers Wesley Dixon (Avis) and Paul

Dixon (Yvonne). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews who fondly called her "Aunt Nee-Nee."

She also leaves behind Hank Feaster (H.L.) whom she dearly loved.

After retirement she purchased a cabin outside of Sylva, N.C. She loved the mountains, growing

beautiful flowers, crocheting, crafting, entertaining, and playing cards, but she especially

loved going to the "Casina" in Cherokee (as she called it).

Remember her smile, her generosity, her love for her family, and especially her love for Jesus.

She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on forever.
