Bread Pudding....

Source: Jim Mixson (modified from several web recipes.

6 slices bread, toasted (or biscuits)

2 T melted butter

1/2 C raisins

3 eggs, beaten

2 C half and half

3/4 C sugar

1/4 C light brown sugar

1 t ground cinnamon

1 t vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 °F.

Prepare bread into small (bout 1/4 inch) cubes or pieces. Arrange in baking

dish (about 1 1/2 quart size). Do this in about 3 layers, interspersing the

layers with the raisins.

Mix all other ingredients well and pour over the bread crumbs/raisins. Use

your whisk or a fork to push the mix down to assure the bread is covered and

soaks up the liquid.

Bake for about 45 minutes. It's done when lightly browned on top and it springs

back when tapped.

Serve (best warm) topped with vanilla sauce. See that recipe.
